The research on the tower located in the centre of St. Petersburg is based on the planimetric development of two rectangular shapes, translated and angled to form two simple and flexible volumes in the indoor functional distribution.
The tower's main geometric component is a shading screen created by the horizontal combination of terracotta strips designed to form a transparent skin; the shading screen allows a better control of the sunshine in terms of dazzle reduction.
